Partimos de "esto" (sin comentarios):
We start from an old-fashioned grandma-style dress:
1) Tenemos un vestido de algodón bastante cedido del uso.
Lo primero es modificar las mangas para darle un sencillo e increible cambio de aspecto.
Simplemente cogemos la manga y la giramos (la retorcemos), de afuera hacia a dentro, 2 vueltas, hasta que quede así:
Got an ugly cotton made dress and it has been widened by many years of usage.
I´ll start from an easy but cute sleeves modification.
We just have to take the sleeve and turn it outside-down a couple of times, until it looks like this:
Una vez hecho esto cosemos a mano para fijar la primera manga, (si puede ser con el vestido puesto mejor), marcamos la otra con imperdibles o alfileres e intentamos coserla para que quede lo más parecido posible a la primera.
Once we have reached the desired shape we gotta sew it by hand, and try to sew the second sleeve as similar to the first one as possible.
2) Cortamos el largo del vestido a gusto del consumidor. Para que no sea el típico de corte recto fruncimos en ambos lados del bajo.
Primero hacemos una prueba con el vestido puesto "a mano" marcando con un alfiler hasta donde ha de subir como máximo el fruncido:
Cut the lenght of the dress as desired. For this time we will finish the dress with a "wrinkled bottom" to make it look a little bit different.
First we will wear the dress and mark a limit for the wrinkles.
Cosemos arrugando los lados y procurando que ambas partes queden similares.
Sew the wrinkles on both sides of the bottom trying to achieve as much symmetry as you can.
